The Gem City Forum Toastmasters Club was officially started on May 7th, 1998 in Franklin, NC. The Charter meeting was where the District 37 Governor, Van Sherrill presented the newly formed club with it’s Official Toastmasters banner. There were 19 of the charter members present for that meeting.

Our current meeting place is the ‘Fun Factory’ on Rt 23/441 “Old Georgia Rd” in Franklin, NC. Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings at 5:30PM and all members and guests are welcome.

Our goal is to assist our members and guests in learning valuable leadership and meeting management skills, while also learning to prepare and deliver speeches in public correctly and effortlessly. We provide a safe environment for practicing and learning with like-minded people who are on the same path, combined with immediate encouragement and feedback to aid in ones improvement in the art.
